Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I wanted to set myself a fitness goal and raise some money for charity at the same time. I have visited my local RSPCA branch several times and have seen first hand the fantastic work they do to transform animals who have suffered greatly at the hands of humans. I knew I wanted to help them so I have decided to run my first ever half marathon in aid of this fantastic charity. With the original race, the English Half Marathon having been postponed, I have now signed up for the Tatton Park half marathon on Sunday 3 November 2019.

Each branch of the RSPCA is a separately registered charity, working under the guidance of the national charity. My local branch is responsible for raising funds in the local area to keep the centre running. They rely on the generosity and support of the local community.

Susie was found limping through a petrol station forecourt with socks tied so tightly round three of her legs that they caused wounds so deep they went down to the bone. Her fourth leg was broken and had started to heal in the wrong position. She was emaciated and had skin issues. Thankfully, after two months of love and rehabilitation she was a different dog.

I want to help dogs like Susie.

The thought of running over 13 miles is daunting. Your support and encouragement would mean so much to me.
