Hi!

Thanks for visiting the Lynx bus drivers JustGiving Page! Years of sitting behind the wheel of buses and indulging in unhealthy snacks on meal breaks have unfortunately taken their toll on us! Some of us have become just a tad overweight but now enough is enough, so we’ve decided to lose the excess weight and to raise money for a great cause along the way!

Between 10 of us (George, Gary, Matt, Paul M, Jason, Tim, Nigel F, Dave D, Lee and Steve A) we’re aiming to lose a total of 400 lbs and are trying to raise £1 for each pound of weight we lose and if we end up raising more than that then so be it! All the money raised will go to our chosen charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers are a local charity to King’s Lynn and they help the children up to 18 years old who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces. The charity support and helps guide children throughout their childhood and offers a respite from the ups and downs of coping with the loss of a parent. They help the families from the British Army, Royal Navy or the RAF. Children who have lost a parent through illness or accident are also eligible as long as the parent was serving in the forces at the time of their death, or medically discharged due to a condition that leads them to their death.

Our employers, Lynx have also said they’ll make a donation too so please show us your support as well and get us started along our weight loss journey and give generously to our cause!
