Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This is the story of a group of friends who said we will and we can help. We took it upon ourselves to say we are going to help and accepted the £10,000 fundraising challenge for the Rohingya Muslim ethnic minority in Burma which have been called “The most oppressed people on Earth.” The purpose of this fundraise is to rebuild homes for the homeless, rebuild happiness within families and to rebuild hearts and minds which have been destroyed. Through Allahs permission they will get that help and support from us.

We as friends always spoke about the calamaties that are befalling on our brothers and sisters around the world but collectively we never made such bold commitments. It wasn't until we attended a talk surrounding the subject that we were determined that we have to step up Alhamdulillah. Please make dua that Allah makes this opportunity a means for us to gain closeness to Him and that Allah also accepts us for Khidmah of his deen through this. We are all human, we all have our ups and downs, smiles and frowns, with our finances, in our deen and in our family lives. We need to understand that we are all in need of Allah’s help and forgiveness and this cause, genuinely is something that will have an impact.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi

What kind of hatred could make a man stab a baby crying out for his mother? We don’t know what kind of clearance operation this is, neither do we know what security goals could possibly be served by this, but we do know that we want to help the innocent. We may not be able to heal the wounds of the women who’s eight-month old baby was killed while she was being raped by five security officers, but what we can do, is at least put a roof over the heads of those, who like her, have fallen victim to such horrendous ‘ethnic cleansing’ practices in Burma, including the systematic burning down of entire villages. People of burma dont have the same media coverage as other lands ie: syria, palestine etc. So it is a duty upon ourselves to first find out what is really happening and secondly to donate as much as we can and last to raise awareness to others.

We hope that after reading this you feel as though you're a part of this project, we value everyone who wishes to support us and ride this journey with us. We pray that Allah accepts all your efforts and encourages you all to benefit the Ummah in whatever means necessary. This is a platform for all family, friends, brothers and sisters to contribute to the Burma appeal. Just click on the link below and contribute what you can.

I want you to remember that for every hardship that is eased for the people in Burma through your donations, Allah will, without a shadow of a doubt, take into account on the day of judgement, YOUR CONTRIBUTION of how you helped facilitate

We as friends have commited to contribute £100 a month individually over the next 12 months to try and reach our target, if allah has blessed you enough to do the same, please contact one of the brothers. Insha Allah we have a few events in the pipeline. A barbeque, a football tournament and a car wash is in the works, but it doesn't have to end there. So we ask why not take the second step and help us achieve this target by hitting the link? Better yet, commit to a monthly donation, we may even exceed the target, Insha Allah. Allah has blessed us soo much and with your unconditional love support and help we hope we reach our target quick so we may be inclined to do more and encourage other youngsters to do the same.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ”Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” – Muslim

May Allah accept this as a means for your intercession and bless all your families with good health and wealth, may he make the affairs of the ummah easy 😊😊 Please share this link and let everyone you know of the cause!
