Story

We are so pleased to announce our plans to fundraise for pioneering research at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in Mighty Maggie-Mae's name. It's so sad to think that had this research been available earlier then maybe more could have been done to save our beautiful little girl. But that wasn't to be and all we can do now is work towards creating Maggie-Mae's legacy and support this research in the hope of children benefiting in the future.

Babies and children like Maggie-Mae deserve to be pain and cancer free. They deserve their first day at school; to learn to ride a bike; birthday parties; hanging their stocking out for Father Christmas; Easter Eggs; trips to the sea-side. These kids deserve life. Please be part of making that happen with me, together we really can make a difference.

Here's what GOSH have to say about the research that we are supporting:

"Our research will help pioneer the development of new and kinder treatments for difficult-to-treat childhood cancers. In particular, researchers will focus on developing personalised treatment approaches for high-risk brain cancers, chemotherapy-resistant leukaemia and tumours that have come back after treatment.
A personalised approach will allow doctors to select the most appropriate treatment for each child based on the genetic make-up of their cancer.
GOSH is the largest children’s cancer unit in the UK and has one of the largest group of childhood cancer patients in the world, meaning it’s ideally positioned to carry out the research and implement any findings."
