In memory of Fiona Dolan
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
This fund is been set up in memory of Dr Fiona Dolan, formerly specialist registrar in Ophthalmology, Glasgow who died, aged 36. It funds a cause close to Fiona's heart - enabling Ophthalmology colleagues to perform cataract operations and restore sight to people of all ages in developing countries.

Story

My daughters Cassie, Annie and Sophie are on the countdown to getting their ponytails cut off for two very good causes.  The hair will go to the Little Princess Trust, to make real wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer.  Their second cousin Iona Hay lost her hair during cancer treatment and this inspired the girls to donate their hair.  At the same time the girls are raising money for Fiona's Eye Fund set up in memory of my cousin Fiona Dolan, an ophthalmologist who died from a brain tumour in 2007, aged 36.  Fiona's Eye Fund sends ophthalmologists to developing countries to improve eye care, most often by doing cataract camps.  Each cataract operation costs approx £50.  Please help support the girls raise funds for this good cause.
