Story
Well I cannot believe I am going to be 50? I know I only look 30 so I am going with 30 plus VAT !!
Seriously though I have thought about my birthday and all of the lovely cards and gifts I could receive from my lovely family and friends but I have been following a young local family on facebook and I am moved by their story and their braveness so instead of cards and presents I am asking if you could instead donate a small amount to this newly set up charity Evas Angels.
Eva was diagnosed with DIPG (a rare childhood brainstem tumor) in 2017, sadly Eva lost her battle and died within a year of her diagnosis. If your'e interested you can read the families story if you click on the link on my page.
This brave family have now set up a small charity "Evas Angels" with the money that they had originally raised to save Eva's life. They have purchased a caravan on the Kent coast which they are donating to families going through the awful childhood cancer journey to give them time to go away, make memories with their children and get some respite from the awful reality of living with cancer.
"The memories will last a lifetime. As much as we hated the term ‘go away and make memories’ we cherish the fact that is what we did. We made beautiful memories. Eva loved going away with her mum, dad, brother, and sister. She was her happiest away from hospitals and doctors."
Thank you for reading and please give what you can.
Love Maria xxx
