Mark Hughes is raising money for National AIDS Trust

The Muscle Marys World Aids Day · 27 November 2020

Rock the Ribbon to stop HIV by 2030, end HIV stigma and support HIV rights.

Story

With the lead up to World's Aids Day on the 1st December, the Muscle Mary's will be doing an extra class this week to raise MONEY!!!

Fighting the ongoing epidemic is still an essential need for the world, and while new preventative measures exist such as PREP that minimises the infection rate of HIV in high-risk groups.

Worlds Aids Day helps continue funding research and supporting charities that need financial aid to support those living with HIV and AIDS.

HIV does not discriminate; it does not know ethnicity, gender, faith or orientation. And until it is stopped fully, the fight continues for many, some of which are our friends who because of stigma are afraid to speak out.

National AIDS Trust is the UK's HIV rights charity. Who work to stop HIV from standing in the way of health, dignity and equality, and to end new HIV transmissions. Their expertise, research and advocacy secure lasting change to the lives of people living with and at risk of HIV.

Rock the Ribbon for World AIDS Day 2020 to help us to stop HIV by 2030, end HIV stigma and support HIV rights. This is an exciting time to take part with a real opportunity to end new HIV transmissions in the UK by 2030. Your support will help us to get to this goal and be a part of history.

Changing the perception of what HIV and AIDS are, still needs to reach the masses and wearing a red ribbon is one way to raise that awareness.

Another is joining our very special Friday 27th November workout, all donations are welcome, and when we say ALL, we mean it. To help raise money the class has a pay what you want (minimum of £2) via our just giving page. And we'll add £2 for each Mary who decides to contribute as well.

The Class will start at 18:30 (27th November), with details of how to join in the donation email, so pay attention to it closely.

So get the money in, and we'll be seeing you in class on Friday evening!
