Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

Well folks it's nearly May Day and the colour is going in. Thank you to everyone who's donated and come and see it in it's full glory at the Send May Fair on Monday 4th 11am to 3pm.

Hi s veryone it's the daft school caretaker / scout leader let loose for another year. After last year's success £515.45 of my pink mohican people asked was I doing it again this year, and after much thought (about 5 minutes) I said yes.

But what colour well that was easy as Friday the 26th of June this year is going to be Blue Hair Day. You can dye your hair or wear a wig to raise money for harrisons fund, the funds raised will be used to to carry on the  research into a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

So if you would like to support me this year you can see the blue mohican at the Send May Fair on bank holiday Monday 4th of May from 12pm  to 3pm. The colour will go in the morning and the hair will be cut and styled at 12pm on Send Recreation Ground.

People asked me why I did this last year and my answers where it's fun to do something silly for a good cause, running a marathon even a half marathon won't work for me I can't run. Also with my Scout leader hat on there is fundraising badge the Scouts can work towards but why should the young people have all the fun.

On a serious note it's also about rasing awerness about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy a life shortening disease, which I only became aware of when one of the children in our nursery was diagnosed with it.

A big thank you to Paul Wheeler Hair Design and his team who again will kindly be doing my hair for me.
