Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide expert hospice care to more than 340 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families. The purpose of this page is not about me and the challenges I have chosen to undertake, but it's about raising money for such a worthy cause.

This year I have tasked myself with 3 major events to raise money for Naomi's House & Jack's Place and the events are as follows:.

1. Commencing with the 3 Peaks Challenge on the 28th July which involves climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowden a total of 26 miles hiking with an ascent of 9,000ft, ideally all within 24hrs, which also includes roughly 10hrs of travelling in between.

2. Then in September, it's the Weymouth Half Ironman, probably the toughest of the 3 and the main focus of my training at the moment which is now over 6 hours a week. The triathlon is made up of Swim 1.2miles, Bike 56miles and then run 13.1miles, which should take around 6.5 - 7hrs. (Hopefully)

3. Finally Grand Paradiso in October, Italy's highest mountain of 13,300ft. The only mountain in Italy over 12,000ft and a summit way beyond anything I have ever tackled before, this will not only be a physical challenge but mental one as well with the final stint to the summit involving a tricky rocky section, not for the faint hearted and that's without mentioning the effects of altitude!?

I would be really grateful for any support you can provide in my quest this year to personally raise of £1,500.
