Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Nearly 10 years ago, I suffered a sub-arachnoid brain haemorrhage. After my brain surgery went horribly wrong, I feared that I may never get out of hospital alive. Not only did I escape alive, but I was also able to carry on living a normal life with no significant physical disabilities and no mental health issues that are often associated with brain injuries. In fact, I love to share my story.

Unfortunately, most people who have suffered the same illness, or similar, suffer greatly as a consequence of the after-effects. I feel privileged to have been accepted as a part of The Brain and Spine Foundation’s London Marathon team, and privileged to actually be physically able to participate in this fantastic event, 10 years and 20 days after my brain haemorrhage struck on 8th April 2009.

I am hoping to raise a hefty sum of money to help those who have not been as fortunate as me. Please get behind me and follow my journey on Twitter @markdpritchard and please donate whatever you feel you can.
