Story

A brave team of Markel UK employees are taking on the national three peaks, a challenge which involves climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.

On Friday 4th August the team are starting their challenge by climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, their next stop in the early hours of Saturday morning will Scafell Pike in the Lake District. Once complete they will travel down to Wales for their final climb and finish their journey by conquering Snowden. The group will walk a massive 26 miles, climb and descend a total of 6,816 meters and travel a total road distance of 945 miles in just 24 hours!

The event will raise funds for our chosen charity Carers Trust, who work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.
