We offer local support services to people with mental health problems

Story

Hello!

We are Anthony, James and Matt and for the past couple of years, we have completed nerdy charity events to raise money for local charities. In 2015 we raised £900 for the Neonatal Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport and last year we were able to raise £1205 (+ gift aid) for the National Deaf Children's Society.

Inspired by American charity Extra Life, we complete 24-hour videogame 'marathons' all in the name of charity and helping children and young people.

Mental health issues amongst children and young people are increasingly being diagnosed, with 1 in 10 children and 1 in 5 young adults reportedly dealing with a mental health condition in the UK.

Knowing that our fundraising has helped so many made us want to come back to do it again, this year donating to Stockport Mind - our local arm of Mind, the mental health charity.

As we're all based in the Stockport area, we feel that Stockport Mind is the perfect benefactor for our fundraising efforts this year.

The event will begin at 6pm on November 3rd and end at 6pm (or later) on November 4th. We're hoping to raise a minimum of £1,205 (the goal we hit last year), and we'll up the ante once again: if we manage to raise over £1,500 we'll do an extra hour for every £100 raised.

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. If you feel inclined, please leave us a donation. And trust us, this is harder than it might seem.
