Story
Hi, I'm Marta and I'm running the Bristol Half Marathon in support of the charity Refugee Women of Bristol. RWOB is run by a group of refugee women who have seen and experienced the specific challenges facing refugee and asylum seeker women in the city and who set up the charity in 2003 to provide crucial advice, guidance, opportunities to women arriving here in Bristol, as well as a friendly face.
I am originally from Poland and as an immigrant myself, I admire everyone who moves to a new country, especially people who have no choice but to leave their country and leave so many things behind. I would like to make a difference and contribute to improving their new life in in UK.
