Story

21st March 2017 is my 50th birthday and I'm planning 10 challenges next year to celebrate my half century. In order to complete my challenges I need to lose a bit of weight. In order to achieve this, I'm going beer free to the start of my Xmas holiday in Keswick. So from Friday 28th October to Friday 23rd December, I'm staying dry.

Along with the slightly easier exercising (fell walking and biking), my 8 weeks beer free should set me up nicely for 2017. Being a big supporter of Britain's MRT's, I hope to raise £500 for the Keswick team. With the money I save from not going to the pub, I will donate £250 to the team on Friday 23rd December through this page.

I'm planning my first beer in the Dog and Gun, Keswick on Friday 23rd December at 15.00hrs. Please join me if at a loose end in Keswick on that day.

Thank you for visiting my page and any donation will be greatly appreciated by the fabulous unpaid volunteers of Keswick Mountain rescue.
