Hi.

Thank you for viewing this page.  As some of you know, and some of you don't, our little girl Evie was born 11 weeks early in November 2017.  She was also born with complications and required surgery at 16 hours old, while weighing only 2lb 7oz.  We also nearly lost her to a terrible condition called Necrotising Enterocolitis (NEC) at 5 weeks old.  Her little body fought this, and eventually we were allowed home.  During the six months we were in hospital, myself and my partner Vicky stayed in the Ronald Mcdonald House in Manchester, opposite Royal Manchester Childrens' Hospital (RMCH).  This was a god send.  Being able to be close to Evie while she was in NICU and when she was in RMCH. Life wound have been harder without our room in the Ronald McDonald House. It is simple things like being able to cook a meal instead of just having takeaway and being able to wash clothes.

 She needs a few more operations so we will be spending some more time in hospital.  As a result we will probably need a room again in Ronald McDonald House. We have stayed with them again in January when Evie was admitted with complications. They don't change you for your stay, they completely rely on charity donations.  It costs Ronald McDonald House £25 a night to house a family.  When we stayed there, our room was called The Hacienda as the rooms were named after famous Manchester landmarks. Just before we left, the room came up for sponsorship.  It was then we decided to raise the £5000 needed to sponsor this room.  We believe that this charity plays an important part in keeping families together through the difficult time of having a child, or in some cases, children in hospital.  That is why I decided to take part in the Great Manchester Run on May 19th 2019.  I hope that we can raise as much as possible before this date and we would be greatful for any donations, no matter how big or small.
