Being middle aged, having a somewhat questionable fashion sense and wanting to get out of work for the day we have decided to enter a team for the Longest Day Golf Challenge.

This is to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This requires the Banc Golf Team to play 4 rounds (72 holes) of golf in a 24 hour period. No mean feat when you consider we'll probably be walking well over 25 miles, swinging clubs, swearing a lot and complaining to each other constantly.

We have to get the golf completed in daylight hours. This means we'll start at approximately 6am on the 21st June and hopefully sink the last putt at about 9.30pm. Our average round of golf takes us about 4 hours normally so there won't be much resting time allowed to us but just enough time to change socks hopefully!

I hope you're able to dig deep but shallow will do and pledge a few pounds to make the whole thing worthwhile.
