This year I want to try two stretching events to raise some funds for the work Dave and AMM do in Bolivia, restoring sight to those that are in real need and have no other means of help.

I'd like to raise £1200 through running Cambridge Half Marathon and then, later in the year a bike ride from London to Paris with a group of Eye Surgeons from Sheffield. Both events will push me well beyond my comfort zones but I'm hoping that if I can do something extraordinary then my friends and colleagues will chip in and donate to an extraordinary cause.

I worked with Dave for many years and know, first hand, of
his compassion and dedication. He moved out to South America in 2017 to dedicate 100% of his time to this venture. Their first surgical trip was in 2012, they set up a mobile hospital in 2013 and now he is full time there with his family.

A donation of £30 would cover the cost of sight restoring surgery in 1 patient, £100 would help with ongoing training for Bolivian healthcare workers in areas previously not yet reached.
