SHIVA Charity promotes education in Nepal and Sri Lanka. We improve buildings, equipment, teaching, and subsidizing teachers' pay. It has built 28 nursery schools in Sri Lanka to replace those destroyed by the tsunami. It is helping victims of the Nepal earthquake ... committed to action not words.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On November 30th I'll be running the Nottingham Christmas marathon (mercifully flat) at Holme Pierrepont and then on December 6th I’ll be doing the Keyworth ‘Turkey Trot’ half marathon (worryingly hilly). As in previous years I'm hoping to raise as much money as I can for Shiva an amazing charity run by a retired teacher from Bristol. Shiva is small but makes a real impact in rural areas where schools and communities are still recovering from the terrible earthquakes of 2015. Last year, with your help, I raised nearly £200 which Shiva used to purchase some of the musical equipment you can see in the picture above. You can read more about Shiva's work at  www.shivacharity.com

If you can spare a little cash to help Shiva to continue its valuable work and motivate me to reach the finish line I'd be really grateful.
