At DBAS UK we aim to deliver support, research and hope to the DBAS community in the UK by bringing families together, communicating the latest medical information and funding research into causes and treatments.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In 2010, our (six week old) daughter Olivia was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anaemia and to-date has received over 100 blood transfusions.  Sadly, due to medical complications, Olivia will now be having a Bone Marrow Transplant in the next few weeks.

In the lead up to the transplant, Olivia will receive high doses of chemotherapy and will lose her hair.  For the last 18 years we've been kidding ourselves that the bald look doesn't suit our Martin Partin (aka Comb-over) and we couldn't think of a better way to support Olivia and raise funds for a charity that has provided support and hope for us as a family.  I've roped the wife in too but thankfully she doesn't have a comb-over.

Many thanks for your support
