Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

I have lots of reasons for running the London Marathon for Anthony Nolan, but the most important thing is that they are an amazing charity doing incredible, life-saving work. Please consider sponsoring me.

I am not a runner, as most of you know, so the training and the actual run is going to be a massive challenge. It's going to hurt, but it's nothing really, when you consider the pain blood cancers (like leukaemia and lymphoma) cause suffers and their families.

If you'd really like to help, please consider becoming a potential bone marrow donor. Both Simon and I are already registered.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please, please consider making a donation.  If you'd rather not donate online, and you live in the UK, you can donate by text.  Just text the code MGSY78 and an amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070.

Also, check out my marathon training blog: Run, Martine, Run!

Thank you.
