We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

I'm taking part in Football to Amsterdam again, and the
reason why is because of a bloke I met last year.

Paul Dear was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in Oct
2016, cancer had already progressed
the advanced stage where it had spread widely to his bones.

He knows he has only got a matter of months to live and has
come to terms with it, he’s not looking for sympathy but wants to TELL people in no uncertain terms that if you don’t get checked you will be in a bed just like his facing the same outcome. It’s a cold statement but it’s a true statement.

The ride is a 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by The English Football League and the League Managers Association.

By donating to my page, you are helping me raise money which
will:

a) fund research into prostate cancer which searches for a cure
b) fund publicity which raises awareness
c) fund support services for sufferers (like Paul).

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
