Story
Gloucestershire Deaf Association has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being born to profoundly deaf parents means I've always had a close connection with the charity and the deaf club while growing up. Eight years ago I was lucky enough to start working for the charity and I have to say they are the best organisation I have ever worked for!
I started running with my husband, Nick, who has already signed up for the challenge as moral support and before I knew it I'd caught the bug for running (who'd have thought!)
I couldn't think of a better way to say a huge thank you to GDA for everything they've done, not only for me and my family but for the deaf and hard of hearing community. I can honestly say my Dad would have been lost without the deaf club over the years, so, please send some support my way for the challenge I've set myself before I run away in the opposite direction!!
