Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Team Mulberry JustGiving page.

"I get by with a little help from my friends..." Great lyrics and never a truer statement and thankfully I've found a few who are going to help me out

My sister Liz, and a bunch of friends are teaming up to cycle the London to Brighton ride in order to raise some much needed funds so The Mulberry Centre can continue their great work helping sufferers and their families cope with cancer.

A few years BC (Before Cancer) I would be pretty comfortable with this ride. However, I've got bowel cancer. Its stage 4 incurable so I just have to try and live with it! It's really tough physically when I'm being blasted with chemotherapy, which makes training and hard exercise a little more challenging. I'm hoping I can cope with the 60 miles and the rather ominous Ditchling Beacon hill climb.

Equally hard is the phycological pain that surrounds cancer..

Luckily I have a helping hand - The Mulberry Centre. My wife Sophie found them when I was given the incurable diagnosis and they literally picked me up off the floor with their amazing counselling skills and wonderful healing treatments.

They rely completely on fundraising efforts and the volunteers that so gracefully give up their time to help others. That is why I want to do everything I can to say thanks.

Thanks for your support, it is very much appreciated
