Bury Hospice does 'Strictly come Dancing' as 32 contestants gear up for the dance challenge of their life. Each will spend 12 weeks learning new dances to be performed in front of a live audience.

Story

As Mayor and Mayoress, we have chosen Bury Hospice as our main Charity.  Evelyn and I have lost family members and friends to cancer and we want to do all we can to raise the profile of the Hospice and to help raise funds.

Bury Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of residents and their families across Bury. It will cost £3.5m this year to run the Hospice and we raise 85% of this total, but with the support of our community we continue to strive to provide care and services to those who need it
