Some of you may know how special Auntie Rosie was and for those of you who don't you'll have to take my word! After a year long battle with bowel cancer she sadly passed away on 12th August 2018. She spent her final couple of weeks at St Barnabas House in Worthing. The staff and facilities at the hospice are second to none, nothing was too much trouble, there was always someone there to have a chat to her, massage her feet, read with her, open the doors so the sun and fresh air could come in, take the time to chat and check everyone was doing ok. They made that final chapter of her life as comfortable as was possible.
When Rosie passed away I signed up for a challenge to raise funds for this wonderful hospice. Let me assure you, I am not a runner, I dislike running and I would much rather be munching a tub of ice cream in the sun...... But, this is such a small challenge compared to the one that Rosie faced and so this is my 'why' and it will be my driving force to complete it as best as I possibly can.
Join me in my journey to reach this goal and along the way i hope you can find it in you to support this wonderful charity and its vital work.
THANK YOU!! xxx
