Merlin’s Magic Wand are delighted to announce that our next Merlin’s Magic Spaces project will be in collaboration with the Bradley Lowery Foundation and SEA LIFE Scarborough! The charity and attraction will work together to create a bespoke, themed playroom area within the brand new holiday home that the Bradley Lowery Foundation is building, close to the SEA LIFE Scarborough centre. We aim to raise £20,000 to fund this particular project.

The Bradley Lowery Foundation was established in August 2017 after six year old Bradley Lowery lost his fight to Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma - a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. One of Bradley’s last holidays was to Scarborough, where he and his family enjoyed a magical VIP experience at the SEA LIFE Centre. The Foundation will build a holiday home in Bradley’s memory for seriously ill children and their families. Merlin’s Magic Wand and SEA LIFE Scarborough will create a fantastic playroom area in this holiday home, so that families who will be staying there can enjoy some creative play and holiday-style escapism. Designs for the playroom are currently in progress and there will be an official launch of both the holiday home and the Magic Space playroom in 2020.

Of the project, Gemma Lowery (Bradley’s Mum) said on social media, “Merlin’s Magic Wand Charity is amazing, they support so many children by offering passes to some of the top attractions, and children who struggle to attend, they will support them in other ways, take a look at their FB page to see some of the amazing things they do. I have to say, we came away from the meeting very excited, some of the rooms they have renovated are truly breath-taking. I’m very excited about working with these amazing people on the #forbrad holiday home.”

Merlin’s Magic Wand has completed 47 Merlin’s Magic Spaces so far across the world: these are specially created for children who cannot access the magic of Merlin Entertainments attractions and the charity takes the magic to them by designing, creating and transforming plain areas into magical spaces in children’s hospitals, hospices, orphanages, education facilities and more. Any funds raised over the £20,000 required to create this amazing bespoke Merlin's Magic Space at the Bradley Lowery Foundation holiday home will be utilised against further Merlin's Magic Spaces projects.
