On June 18th, 2016, Dana our beloved rescue dog escaped from a family member's house and has been missing ever since. SFP have supported us from day 1 and rallied round, helping Paul and I when we were at a point where we just did not know what to do next. Since then and with the help of many SFP volunteers, Facebook and DogLost friends, we have been able to spread the word about Dana. We would never have been able to get to this point, without this kick start! Dana may still be missing but I want to give something back whilst also keeping her at the forefront of people's thoughts!
Dana started life on the streets of Serbia with her mother and sister. They were found in the Belgrade area, suffering from severe mange. A wonderful man called Goran took them in and bathed them until they made a complete recovery. Goran runs a shelter with his family in Mislodjin, Obrenovac which homes about 100 dogs. This is done totally voluntarily and he works alongside SFP, rescuing dogs from the streets of Serbia, giving them a comfortable life whilst they are waiting to find their forever homes. All the dogs living in Goran's shelter love him and they are very well looked after!
But Goran needs lots of help to be able to carry on doing this wonderful work and help improve the quality of life for these much deserving dogs! He and SFP need funds to buy food, bedding, medication and most recently to create an enclosed exercise run so the dogs can have the necessary daily exercise! Please help me to help Goran and SFP carry on doing the amazing work they do, saving animals from a life of suffering and misery.
Any donation will be gladly received and very much appreciated - thank you!!
