We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit mine and Ryan's JustGiving page.

I only met Ryan fairly recently at Uckfield FM, but feel like I have known him ages. Kindred spirits and all that.

January 21st I was saddened to hear that Ryan had suffered a series of strokes and was seriously ill. However, Ryan is a fighter.

Over the following weeks he went through his own version of hell, but kept moving forward. His words below:

It's been a very tough 4 weeks that's for sure!! I've never worked so hard to try and achieve something in my entire life!!

Back in the gym this morning as I continue to try and build some power into my left leg. I'm also starting some electro stimulation on my hand and arm and will be fitted with a mitten and a sleeve that sends electro pulses to the muscles and nerves.

I couldn't of got this far without the support and love of my beautiful family and friends. I love you all very much xx

Hopefully next week he will get home, a big milestone.

Talking with Ryan recently, we said it would be great to raise some money for The Stroke Association and the work they do for research, awareness and support. Strokes affect a lot of people and their families, so the work done by The Stroke Association is needed.

April 14th is the first Brighton Marathon Bike Ride. I am riding in that for The Stroke Association, Ryan and his family and friends.

I am but the rider here, but 50 kilometres of riding is still 50 kilometres.  I will also be wearing the purple of The Stroke Association, not sure it matches my greying beard!

See if you can help us bust the target we have set.
