Martin's wife, Tracey, was diagnosed late last year with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. In a bid to show support to the G1 ward and Macmillan Day Centre at West Suffolk Hospital, Martin, family friend Mike and a few other unwitting volunteers have conceived a plan to raise much needed funds.

Having missed out on the London Marathon draw, Martin and Mike have devised their own 26 mile Burwell-Cambridge-Burwell route which will take place in April next year.

Though not in the 'best physical shape', the two men are determined to make it the whole way in support of all those who haven't been as lucky as Tracey and to show how invaluable Macmillan units around the country are.
