This year our company has chosen to support Rainbow Trust in helping families with seriously ill children cope in very demanding times. They  do a fantastic job in difficult circumstances and I would urge you to take five minutes in checking out their website.

This year, I am taking part in two challenges;  Vélo Birmingham in May and Swim Serpentine in September. Velo Birmingham covers 100 miles on 12 May. I have cycled this distance before and the time to beat this year is 5 hours 50 minutes.

Swim Serpentine covers two miles in open water on 21 September. I've not done this before and I'm not much of a swimmer so this is a much bigger challenge for me. No time target on this one - finishing would be a result.

My target this year is meagre, please help me reach it; it has to be worth a fiver just to catch me an a wetsuit!
