Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge

Four Monmouth RFC players, in conjunction with our sponsors at Convey Law, took on the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge on the 30th June 2018.

The boys were tested to their limits by taking on the highest peaks in North, Mid and South Wales, all within 15 hours! Well done boys, a wonderful achievement. 

A huge thanks to Mark Probert for driving the boys from mountain to mountain!

Lloyd Davies - 5in55 UK Challenge

On the 4th July club chairman Lloyd Davies climbed 5 Mountains in the UK in 55 hours. Lloyd undertook the challenge as part of an inspirational quest with 10 Dads whose family have used our local Children’s Hospice – Ty Hafan.

The Dads climbed a combined height of 5,187m and covered over 36 miles in total! This challenge was about the Ty Hafan Dads pushing themselves, inspiring others, forging friendships and proving, once again, that the Dads are stronger together.

It was more than just a group of men climbing mountains, it was about showing others that, no matter what the odds, no matter what obstacles lie before you, you can accomplish anything. This is a group of Dads who, regardless of their current destination, are walking the same journey in life and now want to walk together to inspire others and themselves.

SnowDogs Challenge

Monmouth RFC, in conjunction with our sponsors at Convey Law, engaged with 10 schools and Youth Clubs in the locality to help raise over £25,000.00 for the Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice. 

Tŷ Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families, throughout Wales. They provide respite care for terminally ill children and their families, and need to raise over £3,000,000 a year to survive. 

Thank you to everyone that took part in this wonderful initiative and for painting your incredible Tŷ Hafan Snowdog puppies.
