Charlie came into the rescue as a stray, sadly due to him having a poorly leg on arrival. We got our vets to check him over straight away, they did an x-ray and we found that he had a broken leg that had been done sometime in the past few months and was untreated. Charlie is only a baby and approx only 3 months old he hasn't had the best start to his life and now our vets have said he will need a shoulder and leg operation and to fuse it, so that he will be able to carry on with his life as normal.

Charlie's story is so sad and we haven't seen a case where the dog is so young with such a nasty break and that had just been left to heal on its own. Charlie is a little sweetie that has stolen the hearts of all the staff and volunteers at NCAR, he has even stolen the heart of one of our wonderful foster carers who has taken him home to take care of him whilst he awaits surgery and will offer him a home thereafter.

Sadly we see so many stray dogs coming in all the time but when we see puppies come in and unwanted by their owners all because of injuries like this, it really is very sad for everyone involved, especially poor Charlie who has coped so well, considering he is in a lot of pain!

So we are appealing to see if you would be willing to support Charlie and donate a few pounds to his operation. This is a big operation for a small puppy! We want the very best for this little man, but its a huge strain on NCAR funds, so your help will be so vital.
