The National Memorial Arboretum

We have launched a fundraising campaign to transform our facilities for the increasing number of visitors coming to the Arboretum. The existing building was designed for just 60,000 visitors per annum and we now welcome 300,000 each year. Voted our top ‘national treasure’ in a recent public poll of lottery funded projects, that trend is set to continue.

New facilities, designed with architects Glenn Howells, will add a major new Remembrance and Learning Centre to remodelled restaurant, shop and event spaces, and create a superb new outdoor space, Heroes’ Square. A transitional garden will lead visitors from the new centre naturally out into the Arboretum.

Our campaign target is £15.7 million and £13.4 million has already been raised or pledged. We now need to secure a final £2.3 million to deliver the new facilities.
