22 years ago my dear friend’s brother was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I remember him seeming so brave and strong despite the situation. This affected me deeply. Last year I met a child who was diagnosed with the same illness. She was nine years old. Yet again so brave and strong. This triggered a personal need to ‘do something’ to help those in that situation.

The charity known as The Joshua Tree located in Northwich are a group of people dedicated to the emotional support of patients and their families in addition to the medical support provided by Alder Hey.

I’ve met with the staff of The Joshua Tree and I’ve specified that any money raised is to provide actual and immediate support therapy.
