On Thursday the 3rd October 2019 I will be hitting the catwalk in aid of Breast Cancer Care along with 31 amazing people. 

All the models in the show have had a breast cancer diagnosis just like me! Surely at the age of 35 being young, fit and healthy it seriously couldn't be happening!!

My close friends and family will know how hard it has been for me to speak publicly about my diagnosis. I wanted to pretend in a way that it wasn't happening to me. I wanted to carry on as "normal". However, I think it's about time I shared my story not only to help people to understand but to raise awareness and money for an amazing charity that helped me in one of my darkest times.

I know I like being unique but being one of the 2,200 women in the UK who are diagnosed aged 39 or under, or just 4% of all cases, just seemed a bit too unique for me!!

Last year’s show was a fantastic Around raising over £280,000 and this money made a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care. The reality is that there are more than half a million people in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year another 60,000 hear the devastating news that they have the disease. Thanks to the generosity of people like you supporting The Show, Breast Cancer Care is here for every one of them, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support when it’s needed most.
