Story
My wife, Juliet, was fortunate enough to have a combined
kidney and pancreas transplant 7 years ago. Unfortunately, the kidney has decided that it no longer wants to play ball meaning that she must attend dialysis three times a week, 4 hours a time.
Last time around I wasn’t sure about the idea of donating,
but this time it just seems the right thing to do. Anyway, what are the
chances of being a match?….1/100,000 is the answer and guess what, I am a match! Eeek!
I am not telling you this because I want to be hailed a hero, (size medium if you are looking for a cape) but rather to raise awareness
of organ donation. It's incredibly easy to do and would mean the world to a family whose relatives are in desperate need of an organ.

The operation is happening on Wednesday 17th April 2019 and
would love to wake up to the news that either we have raised a sizable amount of money for the South West Thames Renal Unit or that loads of people have signed up to the organ donation register.
