Fanconi Hope is a charity set up to sponsor research and support those affected by the rare genetic disorder Fanconi Anaemia that affects children and adults, leading to bone marrow failure and bone marrow transplantation, with very high risk of leukaemia and head and neck cancers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. You may well know that our youngest daughter, Scarlett, suffers from Fanconi Anaemia. Thankfully, it's a rare condition... But horrible for those unlucky enough to have it. The actual  "Dryathlon" is dedicated to Cancer Research but I'm choosing Fanconi Anaemia specifically because it's so close to our hearts. Also, importantly, whilst it is cancer-related, knowing more about the Fanconi Anaemia pathway would mean the world knew much more about many other cancers further down the chain. We're only just getting our heads around this and will be doing more fundraising over time. However, as a kick-off, I'll be putting what I'd usually spend on booze into the charity this month. Please give what you want to - Thanks in advance.
