British Renal Society (BRS)

The BRS endeavours to promote improved quality of life for people with kidney disease, their families and carers. It does so by informing national policy, educating professionals involved in the care of patients, encouraging inter-disciplinary working and supporting patient centred clinical research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm doing this charity walk in memory of my uncle, Ram. He was the life & soul of the party and was such a warm, giving man. When his renal disease was diagnosed, he had to endure long hours at the hospital for dialysis. He'd always call me and we'd have a nice chat - those memories will stay with me always. Sadly, he passed away over 2 years ago through complications and although life seems to lack a certain sparkle, my family feels that he'd want us to carry on and enjoy life.

I feel that the British Renal Society is a great charity to support since there is still so much work to be done regarding kidney disease. Not only do they support patients and their families/carers, they are involved in educating professionals and encouraging inter-disciplinary working which is so vital.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

On May 27th 2012 I will be doing a 15 mile charity walk around the wirral peninsula. I would be so grateful for any donations no matter how small to help support The British Renal Society to help them to continue supporting people with kidney disease.

Thank you.
