I am running Tough Mudder in Cheshire on September 11th in memory of my Dad, David who lost his battle against a little known but terrible illness called Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy, Lactic acidosis, and Stroke-like episodes (M.E.L.A.S), so little known in fact that my dads doctor had to Google his symptoms and then contact Newcastle University for more information. The fundraising goal is irrelevant and I just hope to raise as much money as possible and also more awareness of this horrible illness.
