We help the brain tumour community to feel less alone and more in control

Story

I’m sorry

Some of you already know that, in recent years, I have
become addicted to the use of lyrca® and the feelings of euphoria released by ‘them dolphins’. I’m afraid it is something I’m proud of.

I only have 164 days left (edit as necessary) of occasional lyrca® outings, visits to the Docks (and other
purveyors of fine isotonic ale), before having to carry out the vainglorious 100 mile spin around London cheered on by my adoring public.
It’s been a long journey of self-indulgent purchases, holidays and fun but I’ve not regretted any of it. Far from it; why shouldn’t I step out in stretched-to-the-limit man-made fibre, bray loudly at the bar about
my most recent effort and the Strava record for 20 metres of a tiny lane that no-one has ever heard of?

But enough about me; what are others saying about me?

“What a worker!” – I’ve overheard this from several drivers
as they’ve followed me religiously up narrow lanes.

“He’s from Kent!” – those who perceive my climbing is akin
to a flat-land ride through England’s Garden.

I see the air bag deployed
- OJ (not Simpson) enjoyed the effective airbag deployment evident in my JustGiving page photo [clearly a little befuddled as I was on a bike, no car involved!].

“Do you iron your shirts over a wok?” – from a distant
family member; member being the operative word.

Or give us a fiver in the pub; if I’ve got my breath back I
will thank you .

P.S. If this proves to embellish my profile sufficiently I will be asking you to support some other exploits I’ve always wanted to do; climbing Kilimanjaro or the Americas Cup spring immediately to mind.

P.P.S. Those close will know why I have chosen this
particular charity. It is no joke but humour and joie de vivre are essential
and exemplified by the man who inspires my effort.

Thanks, Nick.
