Prostate Cancer UK is leading the fight against prostate cancer. Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer in the UK. Thats someones dad, brother, uncle, granddad, husband or friend. Figures announced earlier this year showed, for the first time ever, the number of men dying from prostate cancer every year has overtaken the number of women dying from breast cancer. Shockingly, 83% of men arent aware of their risk. Its a disease thats underfunded with no screening programme, no accurate diagnostic test and not enough cancer nurse specialists to support the growing numbers of men affected.
