Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In September Morgan (accompanied by Rich) will be running the Great North Junior Run and I’ll be running the Great North Run to raise funds for Epilepsy Action.

We have chosen Epilepsy Action as this is a charity close to our hearts.

Morgan had his first seizure when he was 4 years old.

As his parents this was one of the most terrifying experiences of our lives.

Over the past 5 years we have watched with admiration as our son has worked through the
obstacles that Epilepsy has thrown in his way.

We are incredibly proud of him, he amazes us every day!

We are fundraising for Morgan and everyone living with epilepsy.  Like many health conditions epilepsy doesn't always get the press coverage or public visibility that others do. Epilepsy is
a complex neurological condition that affects over 600,000 people in the UK.  Every day 87 people are diagnosed with Epilepsy and there are over 80 different types!

Through this event, we’ll be fundraising to help Epilepsy Action, this charity does a fantastic job in supporting people who live with epilepsy, their families and carers.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Epilepsy Action gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving
makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Yes, I know some of you may think it’s (only) 13.1 miles, BUT last September I ran a marathon (all 26.2 exhausting miles), I chose not to ask for donations at that time as I wasn’t entirely convinced that I would make it to the finish line in one piece….but I did, in a not too shabby 4hrs 37mins.

So, whether you donate in support or you just like the thought of me slogging through the miles it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading all the way to the end.....watch this space for updates

Thank you 💕
