24 May - Royal Windsor trail run - my first ever half marathon!

Having had Type One Diabetes since 1995 and coming up to my 20 year anniversary, I wanted to set myself a challenge to raise money for a related charity.

Type One Mission (TOM) is a charity that has been founded to primarily raise funds in order to support research projects that are looking into a cure for diabetes and the prevention, in particular, of Type One Diabetes. In the main the charity wishes to concentrate on the unavoidable condition which is known as Type One Diabetes (normally this Type One is diagnosed during a persons childhood) is utterly unavoidable, and as yet, the causes of Type One are unknown.

Type One Mission (TOM) was founded after the tragic death of Thomas Bucciero (a Type One Diabetic since the age of 4) when he was 15 years old. His parents Tony and Donna work for the charity for free and funded the set up out of their own savings. Every penny raised by this charity will go towards the aims of the charity and its fundraising efforts.
