Story

Hello and thanks for reading my fundraising story.

This April, I will be (quite literally) diving into my thirties and to help me along the journey, I'd be grateful to anyone who can sponsor this act of madness to raise funds for Action for M.E.

I chose Action for M.E. because of a dear friend who inspires me every day. Despite being the same age, we live very different lives. Whilst I have the ability to plan months ahead, book trips abroad, run around with my daughter, she is hoping that she will feel well enough to shower, make a meal or see a friend. 13 years later and I still admire her resilience and if anything, she has taught me that life is what you make it, it's all about attitude.

M.E. affects approximately 250,000 people in the UK yet it's not a disease we hear a lot about but getting the right help and care can really improve a person's quality of life. This isn't just fundraising for the charity but I also want to raise awareness for this invisible but debilitating disease.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At Action for M.E. we're working to end the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by men, women and children with M.E. We provide a lifeline of support to thousands of people each year, campaign to raise awareness of M.E. and work to encourage more high-quality biomedical research.
