Story
It has almost been 2 year since the devastating 7.9m earthquake hit Nepal and 2 years on thousands of school children are still continuing to learn in unsafe environments.
Throughout Nepal tens of thousands of classrooms were deemed unsafe following the disaster and it is estimated that this had an effect on the education of almost 1 million children. Here with All Hands we are aiming to impact just 24,000 children's lives through our school re-build projects.
I am currently based at just the one school, (an 8 classroom build), but we have already completed classrooms for 2 other schools and are working towards building classrooms for a further 3 schools. All Hands has also committed to completing WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) programs at many of these sites.
Please help me, the other volunteers and the organisation to continue on this good work for as long as it is needed by making a small contribution.
