Orphans in Need was set up to help the world's most vulnerable and needy people, regardless of faith, race or creed. Our main focus is on orphans and widows, often the weakest members of society and the most badly affected by the scourge of poverty. Join us and inspire some hope today.

Story

As salaamu alaykum everyone and thank you for taking the time to visit Our JustGiving page. We are just two friends who have commited to help Orphans in Need to raise money by December 2013.

The money we are raising is to help build an orphan village in Delhi. The village would be self contained, with 24 housing units, each capable of accommodating some 12 children, as well as its own school and play area. The children will be cared for by ‘live-in mothers’ employed by Orphans in Need. These ‘mothers’ will themselves be widows, who are capable of providing the love, care and guidance that a child needs.

We hope that you can all help us, help these children who have no families. As we all know caring for an Orphan is what Allah (swt) would love for us to do as the Prophet Mohammad salAllaahu alayhi wasallam was one himself.

It is quoted that the Prophet salAllaahu alayhi wasallam once said "A person who looks after/helps orphans will be with me in heaven like the index finger and middle finger put together" and he showed this with his hands.

So In Sha Allah we hope that with us you are all willing to strive and build ur palace in Jannat-ul-Ferdous.

[Once you donate, your money goes directly to OIN and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate]

JazakAllaahu khairan.

Wa salaam.
