Story

The Big Walk on Saturday 20 February challenges us to walk 10,000 steps (about 5miles) and walk each day for the 40 days of lent.
This Lent we are taking on the Walk for Water Challenge. One in three people around the world still do not have access to safe drinking water. We take access to water for granted and now we must help others to access this precious life source.

Make our lockdown virtual walk special.

Through our challenge we will be raising money for people like Abdella. He is 23 and lives in Afar, Ethiopia one of the hottest places on earth. Abdella dreams of starting a small business, starting a family and having his own home. He dreams of the day he won't have to walk ten hours to get water. He knows that if there was water near his home, his family wouldn't have to worry any more about getting enough to stay alive.

Help make the dreams come true……..

Join us and sponsor us. If our parishes raise £750 it could provide access to water for a remote village community. Can we provide access to water for more than one community?

The North Dorset Parishes include Blandford, Gillingham and Marnhull, Shaftesbury and Sherborne, and are joining together to make a difference.

Please sponsor us to give access to water to the poorest communities around the world……….
