Since starting up in 2009 Oxford Food Bank has saved over 1,000 tonnes of usable food from being sent to landfill and instead distributed it to charities throughout Oxford and the surrounding area.
OFB relies totally on donations from individuals and organisations and receives no government support. Every £1 of money donated is converted into £20 worth of food supplied to other charities.
