Story

In April, I will embarking on my BIGGEST solo challenge yet!!

9 MARATHONS IN 10 DAYS!

I will be starting my challenge on Monday 17th April in Bristol, England and finishing (fingers crossed) on Thursday 27th April in Punchestown, Ireland.

Having run 3 London Marathons in recent years, I really wanted to do something more challenging this time around! In 2012 I ran my first marathon raising money for The JT McNamara Fund, in addition to my run my father cycled from Cheltenham Racecourse, England to Killarney Racecourse, Ireland. I ran my second marathon in 2014, alongside my sister Emily, raising money for Racing Welfare. My third marathon was in 2016, raising money this time for Racing Welfare, The Injured Jockeys Fund & Irish Injured Jockeys.

The third marathon was the inspiration behind this years challenge. As many of you will know, I have been involved in the horse racing industry for a long time, and having seen the recent falls of jockeys during the races over the years and the unfortunate injuries that they can sustain in a sport that each and everyone is hugely passionate about I wanted to raise even more money for my chosen charities.

I hope you all support me in this hugely mental & physical challenge. If you are able to join me along the way and run alongside me for any amount of time, that will be such an amazing motivation!

Most importantly, if you are able to donate any amount to help me reach my target, I can assure you that you will be encouraging me to get to that finish line on April 27th. Knowing I have the support behind me, will be just the push I need when the going gets tough - and it will!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you can see this page is for the Injured Jockeys fund. I have another fundraising page for Irish injured jockeys.
