Story

The three peaks challenge.

This May half term,  myself (Orlando) and Jacob, will be doing the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Medic Malawi. This will involve climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. Not only will this be a physical challenge but also a race against the clock. This will be a mammoth challenge with some of the stats being fairly impressive yet daunting at the same time. We will walk a total of 37km, with a total ascent of 10,052ft. With our driver having to drive a total distance of 462 miles.

We chose this challenge to be our fundraiser as we felt it would reflect the sterling efforts and dedication put in by those in the Medic Malawi community. Over the past decade they have built a cosy community that is centred around helping others and keeping children fit and healthy(more details below). The plan is that this summer we will spend two weeks volunteering for Medic Malawi as part of a team from Shrewsbury school combined with a few members of the Shewsy House from Everton.  We would be very grateful for any donations, big or small, because any would be amazing. The donations are linked straight to the Medic Malawi account so they will receive the donations immediately.

Many thanks,

Orlando and Jacob
